Director of Marketing

  • But most of all, are you able to separate what needs to be done from what can be done, focusing on the 20% of activities that generate 80% of the results.

You’ll know you are right for this amazing opportunity if you have:

  • At least 5 years experience leading a digital marketing team.
  • A proven track record of managing and leading a digital marketing team to success.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive maximum digital marketing performance through SEO, Paid Media, and Marketing Automation.
  • Experience planning and hosting events (meetups, trade shows, conferences, webinars) to increase brand awareness and generate new leads.
  • Expertise with HubSpot or similar marketing automation platforms such as Salesforce or Marketo.
  • Experience with WordPress or similar content management systems.
  • Expert understanding of Conversion Rate Optimization methodologies and platforms (Hotjar, Optimizely) and landing page best practices.
  • Expert understanding of best practices for sales, ad, and email copywriting,
  • Expertise with SEO strategies, tools, and techniques.
  • Expertise with Google AdWords, Bing Ads, Facebook ads, LinkedIn ads and remarketing platforms such as AdRoll and Perfect Audience.
  • Expertise with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and call tracking platforms.

Some competencies you’ll need to have:

 

  • Digital Marketing Fundamentals: You are certified in Google AdWords, Google Analytics, Facebook Blueprint, and HubSpot.
  • Critical Thinking: You are able to synthesize and execute on 80/20 strategies in your role. You think holistically and understand how your actions impact other areas of the organization.
  • Project Management: Large and complex projects are kept organized, within scope, and on-time. You are able to proactively resolve project risks and expertly handle objections.
  • Reporting & Analytics: You are able to analyze and manipulate large sets of data to create easy-to-understand reports. Your have advanced Excel skills and are able to simplify data with pivot tables, macros, vlookup, and APIs. You have intermediate knowledge of Adobe Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
  • Communication: You are able to communicate complex data in a simple manner and craft a story around it to lead to business insights. You have strong presentation skills and are comfortable speaking in front of small audiences.
  • Coaching: You actively coach your direct reports to think more critically, be more resourceful, and continuously learn. Your leadership and support encourages maximum performance and happiness. You ask more questions than you give answers while directing your team from a position of confident expertise.
  • Emotional Intelligence: You are a trusted authority in your department. You are calm and collected in the majority of situations. You are confident and decisive in your choices.
  • Strategy & Innovation: You are able to manage and improve on the performance, P&L, and strategy of your department by following and advocating core systems. You are an effective strategic thinker that consistently acts with departmental and organizational goals in mind.

Results you’ll be expected to drive:

  • Maintain an 80% or greater success rate on marketing and individual OKRs through effective and continuous coaching & training.
  • Drive performance by developing and innovating on Powered by Search's marketing systems.
  • Ensure 100% pod-wide adoption of operational and marketing systems.
  • Ensure consistently timely and high quality deliverables from the marketing pod that align to organizational goals.
