We’re looking for you – a proven Paid Media expert for B2B SaaS that’s both experienced and excited by driving continuous improvement of a well-oiled department and guiding a team of Paid Media Specialists to achieve mastery in their technical and consulting skills.

This Director of Paid Media is a management role. You’ll own the P&L of the Paid Media department and be accountable for leading our clients to Paid Media success by hiring, managing, and growing a team of Paid Media Specialists.

This is the right role for you if you have…

  • A proven track record of hiring, managing, and leading a Paid Media team of at least 20 people to achieve campaign performance goals, and company revenue goals.
  • Demonstrable ability to manage large single-account monthly budgets of $250,000 and greater for B2B SaaS organizations, and consistently achieving targets.
  • Subject matter expertise in Google Ads, Bing Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Capterra Ads, and Twitter Ads, with at least 5 years of experience managing multiple ad campaigns, accounts and clients simultaneously in previous individual contributor roles.
  • Experience with common B2B SaaS analytics and CRM solutions such as Google Analytics 4, Google Data Studio, Databox, HubSpot, Salesforce, Mixpanel, & Amplitude.
  • Experience with audience and ABM solutions such as Clearbit, 6sense, Demandbase
  • Experience with ad copywriting, and advanced conversion rate optimization methodologies for landing pages.

Expected Results:

Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, you will be responsible for leading, managing, and holding your team of Paid Media Specialists accountable to their performance and day-to-day strategic decision-making to ensure that the right things are getting done to drive client success. 

As a management role, you will not be responsible for hands-on campaign management of your own client portfolio. We do expect you to have extensive Paid Media subject matter expertise so that you can support and unblock your team on campaign issues when escalated.

This role is also expected to build and maintain relationships with executive stakeholders on client teams for collecting feedback, navigating escalated account challenges, and securing program renewal and growth opportunities.

Your Responsibilities

40% Team Development & Coaching

  • Hire, lead, manage, and hold accountable your team of Paid Media Strategistss to ensure high-performance efforts that align with client goals.
  • Ensure 100% department-wide adoption of operational and Paid Media systems.
  • Grow and foster Talent Development within the Paid Media department and provide mentorship across the organization as needed. 

30% Paid Media Strategic Design, Optimization & Implementation

  • Develop and innovate on Powered by Search's Paid Media systems. 
  • Maintain and build industry insight and expertise in Paid Media and B2B SaaS marketing by:
    • Monitoring industry changes and developments
    • Maintaining knowledge about the latest PPC & Paid Social tools, trends, and tactics
    • Regularly contributing to blog posts and whitepapers on PPC & Paid Social advertising
  • Manage the P&L of your team of Paid Media Specialists to meet organizational goals and achieve effective utilization.
  • Manage and maintain the Direct LER (Labour Efficiency Ratio) of your team of Paid Media Specialists to 3.0 and above.

15% Client Strategy & Interactions

  • Find and explore opportunities to grow client accounts via audits, report reviews, etc.
  • Regularly collaborate with senior leaders across internal departments to capture holistic opportunities for scaling client marketing performance.
  • Regularly meet with senior stakeholders on client teams to develop trusted advisor relationships on Paid Media matters.

15% Sales 

  • Frame strategic Paid Media solutions for late-stage prospects or onboarding clients as the sale closes and the project is transitioned to the team for execution. 
  • Participate in high-value sales discussions with qualified prospects to support department and organizational sales targets.
  • Develop and secure Paid Media program renewals, and program expansion to achieve department and organizational revenue targets.
  • Resolve escalated Paid Media scope adjustments & budget changes.
