YOU

  • Proven work experience as an Internal Recruiter, Recruiter or similar role
  • Solid understanding of full-cycle recruiting
  • Support workplace diversity
  • Experience using topgrading recruiting and interviewing 
  • Ability to organize skills assessment centers (e.g. job simulation activities, work samples, and IQ/EQ tests)
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases
  • Good knowledge of labor legislation in Canada and the United States
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professionalism, organization, and project management skills
  • Minimum 2 years experience recruiting in a relevant industry environment

The Opportunity

The mission of the Internal Recruiter is to ensure we follow our Always Hiring Mindset and manage our full-cycle recruiting processes.

As an Internal Recruiter, you will support and protect the CEO to achieve the company’s hiring goals and gain more momentum by attracting top talent. 

This role demands an individual with exceptional communication, strategic, analysis, organizational, and interpersonal qualities to identify current and future hiring needs, advertise job openings online, and manage employee referral programs

This means:

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to write job ads for current openings
  • Advertise job openings on careers pages, job boards and social networks (e.g. LinkedIn)
  • Design and implement employee referral programs
  • Build applicant sources by employee referrals, headhunting, advertising, and  hosting virtual events.
  • Determine applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, verifying references, and comparing qualifications to job requirements.
  • Arrange management interviews by coordinating schedules and booking meeting meetings.
  • Evaluate applicants by discussing job requirements, company culture, and applicant qualifications with managers and interviewing applicants on a consistent set of qualifications.
  • Improve organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; and emphasizing benefits and perks.
  • Advise managers on training and coaching new hires, including when internal candidates start a new position.
  • Navigate legal regulations by understanding current legislation, enforcing regulations with managers, recommending new procedures, and conducting training.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.

The Outcomes

  1. Attain Headcount Target to Meet Growth Goals: Headcount planning to ensure we have the right number of people, with the right skills, in the right roles to execute on our business strategy. 
  2. Reaching the right people from the beginning of the hiring process. We know we are attracting top talent when 12%+ of candidates are interviewed by a manager. 
  3. Advising Managers: Evaluating the new employee onboarding process and sharing insights with managers so that we have a 90%+ success rate of employees completing their first year. 
  4. Evaluating and improving Hiring Manager’s satisfaction. This is going well when they are seeing qualified candidates, time to hire is reduced, and they are supported during onboarding with feedback loops and surveys.
